Lankshear and Knobel's article was a long but informative article. Reading this article I found a lot of information I wasn't aware of and a few things that I was.The article seemed to be an old versus new in the technology world. You have two views one seems like the world is just like it used to be with minor adjustments . Then you have the other point of view that says in today's world it is very different then a few years back. I think they both have valid points, i feel like a lot of the technology we have today merged from great ideas we had before, for example a typewriter to a computer. But i think that the technology is so advanced that it may seem foreign to some people and they may feel like we have changed so much more then they were accustomed to. So I do agree technology has come a very long way and I do agree that a lot of the technological advances we have now came from simple ways or ideas they had 10 or 20 years ago.
I was shocked when i read about the friend game. Its sad that a prank or joke had to get that far. It also scares me to see how easy it is to feel that false comfort through myspace or any other site like that. We need to remember just because you feel like you're getting to know this person there must be procedues and cautions so events like this dont occur.

My experience with google docs is very mixed. Its amazing how you can obtain so much information. Also with everyone contributing it makes researching a whole lot easier, because its divided up.Plus the fact that we were provided with the site made it a whole lot eaiser. But even with all the positives this site has, there were alot of quriks i found using this site as well. It took me 7 logings before i could actually edit so that i could contribute to the google docs time line. I also found it somewhat annoying with items just dissapearing or people deleting other peoples work to add something of their own. I know we all have to work out the kinks and when we all start to get firmilar with the program it will probably work a whole lot better for all of us.
